We set up a new group called Nunthorpe Vision to try and understand Nunthorpe residents' concerns about development plans in the area. This group has allowed us to work closely with councillors, local groups, and local people to identify a number of issues. These have included concerns about:

• proposals to build between 350 and 400 houses on Nunthorpe Grange
• traffic, infrastructure, and loss of green space
• more plots of land being allocated for housing in the future

The council and the Nunthorpe Parish Council carried out a consultation about the future of the area, to make sure local people were aware of the current plans for Nunthorpe.

After taking all of the feedback on board, we're setting out a series of commitments to the people of Nunthorpe. We know they will not fix every issue, or keep everyone happy about everything, but we hope they show that we're determined to give people in Nunthorpe a much better deal.
