Teesside Archives

Teesside Archives collects, catalogues, and preserves records and documents relating to Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, and Redcar & Cleveland, and makes them available for research.

We also have a research service where you can get help with local history enquiries, for example the history of a business or a building. If you have a family history enquiry, you should contact your local reference library first.

The archives are located at the Dorman Museum in Middlesbrough, just outside the town centre.

Address: Teesside Archives, Dorman Museum, Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, TS5 6LA

Public transport: buses 12 and 13 (Stagecoach), and 17, 17A, and 63 (Arriva) stop outside the museum. You can catch these buses from Middlesbrough bus station. You can also plan a journey by car or by public transport.
