Leading Middlesbrough venue myplace is urging music fans to vote in support of a ground-breaking project.
Grassroots Music deliver music activities to myplace members as part of the Middlehaven centre’s youth sessions.
They’ve applied for People’s Project grant funding of up £70,000 and have reached the final five – and now the power is in the public’s hands.
If successful the cash will help Grassroots inspire more young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) through music practice and development as part of its ‘A Need For Music’ project.
myplace Manager Tracey Smith said: “Multiple sessions have delivered across the Tees Valley over the last few years, making a positive change to young people and their communities, and bringing people together through the medium of music.
“Now we need everybody’s help to win this funding and help us continue to spread the joy of music.
“Every vote counts!”
