Security message for business owners

Middlesbrough Council is proud to be supporting Counter Terrorism Policing Northeast in helping to keep our communities safer and more resilient from the threat of terrorism.

The work of Counter Terrorism Policing and the local authority is currently focusing on assisting our communities, business partners and those with whom we work closely to embed core resilience components, appropriate staff awareness, and training in order to keep organisations safer and more secure, whilst also increasing wider community safety.

To assist you in this task, the Community Safety Team and regional Counter Terrorism Security Advisors have compiled the resources below to help you determine the most appropriate pathway for your organisation.

The links provided are for you and/or your security manager consideration in partnership with your staff to help your business be as safe and resilient as possible.

  • Please risk assess your existing sites and any new premises such as outdoor spaces with security in mind and consider both Protect UK's guidance on security risk management and CPNI's personnel security advice.
