The Greggs Foundation hardship fund makes small grants to individuals and families in extreme financial need.
Donations are made after a referral from an organisation which works closely with the individual or family.
If the application is accepted, the organisation will be given the money to spend on behalf of the individual or family. The type of things which the funding can be used for include:
All white goods must be ordered via East Durham Partnership using their referral form.
The individual or family must have an active caseworker to be eligible, and each is only allowed one application per year, to allow fair access to all. The maximum grant is £100 per applicant (or £150 for white goods).
Complete the two application forms:
and return them to spa_caseworker@middlesbrough.gov.uk.
There's £2500 available for each 6 month period, so each application goes through scrutiny from the Greggs Fund panel. You'll be notified if your application has been accepted.
After the award has been confirmed, the money will be transferred to your team to make the purchase. White goods will be paid for via invoice. Purchases will be monitored, and you may be asked to confirm whether the purchase has been made at any time.
